Amityville Farmers’ Market Expanded

Additional vendors have recently joined the Amityville Farmers’ Market.  Blue Duck Bakery of Southampton and Southold features fantastic pies and breads.  If you have not tasted these baked goods, you’ve missed some delicious treats.   It joins a gluten free baker, A Little Taste of Heaven, also offering many wonderful products from Chef Deb.

Thera Farms has returned to Amityville with its heirloom tomatoes, fig trees, plants and other produce.  This farm is joined by Goodale Farms, a dairy farm from Aquebogue, offering eggs, cheese, and other products.  These organic free range eggs are special.  They must be tried to taste the difference!

Some organic garlic and produce is already available courtesy of a certified organic farm.  More produce will be available as the harvest peaks.  An additional organic farm will be represented for the remainder of the season.  There will be a variety of tempting fresh fruits and vegetables from which to choose.  Organic fresh produce is certainly a healthy option.  We are fortunate to have it locally available.

Many other vendors make up this delightful Market.  Handmade soaps, Italian pastries, cookies, dog treats and other items are being offered.  Don’t miss original vendors Horman’s Pickles and Bambino’s for fresh pasta and mozzarella.

Remember that the Market is located at the 9/11 Memorial Parking Lot on the east side of Route 110, south of the train trestle.  Additional parking is also available at Walgreen’s. The Farmers’ Market operates every Friday afternoon from 2 P.M. until 7 P.M. and will continue through September.
Live music is also provided by Denise Romas in July and various artists throughout the season.  Come by and enjoy!
