Ketcham Preserve Clean-up Saturday, May 21
In conjunction with the Town of Babylon, and Save the Great South Bay Society, the Bay Village Civic Association will clean the Ketcham Preserve on Saturday, May 21. The Preserve is located on Montauk Hwy., across from Stop & Shop.
Volunteers will meet Rich Groh from the Town at 9 A.M. at the corner of Lake and Montauk. They are encouraged to wear old clothing and bring gloves. Some litter “pick-er uppers” will be available. Bring sunscreen and insect repellent, too.
The BVCA asks residents to also consider joining them with Amityville H.S. students to enhance the landscape at the school. New raised garden beds will be planted with perennials and annuals purchased by the BVCA.
Community service hours will be available to students participating in either, or both, of these activities. The BVCA expects to finish by noon.
Those at the Preserve Clean-up may be there past noon, following a lunch break, depending on progress being made. This is a rain or shine event.
